Questions galore!

I’m feeling a little sore today, so I completed a quick 4-miler treadmill run and am looking forward to a relaxing morning/afternoon until I head to work! It’s looking rainy here, so maybe I’ve got some baking in my future? Anyway, I’ve been seeing this Fitness Survey all over the blogging world, so I figured I’d give it a go!
1.  Run/workout in the heat and humidity or freezing temps and snow?
Really not a fan of running in either, I prefer fall! If I had to choose, I’d choose heat and humidity. That way, I get my runs over with early in the morning in an attempt to avoid the heat. Freezing temps means wearing TONS of layers.
2. Have washboard abs or flat abs?
Flat with a little definition…I’m thinking Kara Goucher or Shalene Flanagan style?
3. Dr. Oz or The Doctors?
Never watched either. I only follow a few trashy TV shows and those don’t cut it!
4. Cardio or strength?
Cardio, no doubt. I really should do more strength, but I am a running machine/addict (more of the latter ;))
5. Cravings: Protein or carbs?
Hmm…protein. Usually in the form of Greek yogurt.
6. Jillian Michaels or Bob Harper?
Bob, all the way! I’ve loved reading excerpts from The Skinny Rules, and he seems tough, but not quite as harsh as Jillian.
7. Frozen Yogurt or Ice Cream?
Fro-yo. Until ice cream places let me fill my own cup and put my own toppings on, I’m a fro-yo girl.
8. To train: Upper body or Lower body?
Upper body. I used to HATE lunges back in my track days, although I’m probably much stronger now.
9. Protein powder or food with protein?
Food with protein. I’m all about eating whole foods and getting nutrients the natural way.
10. Lunges or squats?
Neither neither neither. I have horrible memories of lunging 100m, sprinting 100m, lunging 100m, then sprinting 100m for laps on laps on laps at high school track practice. Squats are just awful too.
11. Sweet or salty?
Sweet. Preferably a combination of chocolate and coconut, please.
12. Workout attire: cute or comfy?
I’d like it to be comfy, but I have to say I love getting cute workout gear. In my mind, if I’m confident in what in my outfit, I perform better. I almost always plan workout outfits ahead of time, especially on race days.
13. Body Pump or Heavy lifting?
Never tried either, but DYING to do Body Pump at my school’s gym when I go back in a couple weeks!
14. Yoga or Pilates?
Yoga! Again, more classes I can’t wait to take when I get back to school.
15. Nike or Adidas?
Nike. I think I have a couple pairs of Adidas socks, but that’s about it. I’m all about the Norts (Nike shorts). They’re my go-to workout, shopping, lazing around, going to class, pajama, short.
16. Running on the treadmill or outdoors?
Outdoors, for sure. I always feel better running in the natural light and around nature. I do love the treadmill though, I find myself pushing myself to go faster. Plus, I love the pages and pages of treadmill workouts I’ve accumulated over the past couple of months.
17. Whole Foods or Trader Joes?
Whole Foods! It’s my new favorite hippie store. Seriously, it has every kind of food I love. I’ve recently discovered the hot/salad bar. The sushi is AMAZING.
18. Summer or Winter Olympics?
Summer’s better because I like more of the sports. Hello, swimming and track and field! I LOVE watching the Winter Olympics for the figure skating.
19. Exercises classes or Exercise videos?
Classes. I like working out in the company of others.
20. Steamed veggies or roasted veggies?
Steamed! I’m all about the Green Giant brand steamer vegetables. Quick and easy!
That was fun…I want to do those more often!
